Good bye old shade tree

Our good neighbor Brian Little helps us limb up the large Maple tree that shaded the playground for years. The damage was too extensive to save the tree. The kids had got a Swing for Christmas that was planned for its limb. Sad to see such a majestic loved tree on the ground.

Neighbor Support

Neighbors watched on and kept us informed as my husband traveled home. After being up all night I traveled two hours home with our children to meet with fire chief and assess the damage. Community and friends were there waiting to provide support. They shopped for undergarments and clothing early in the morning knowing we were coming home with only one set of clothes we had packed for the day at Santa’s Village.

During the fire, Dunbarton and surrounding towns worked through the night to contain the fire and save the surrounding structures.

Hubbard House Fire

On June 30, 2023 our home caught fire while we were away for the weekend. While the initial investigation could determine the origin of the fire the investigation was unable to determine the cause due to the home being open to the elements during the two month wait for investigators to schedule their investigation and the extent of the damage.
